Default Help - droppers

Hi

Ive only been fishing now for two years and in that time i would say i have improved a fair bit all self taught but my problem is that i have only ever used a single fly. I now want to up my game and chances by using more than one fly but i havent a clue where to start.
Looking on the net i have picked up that a lot of people use a water knot??? to add a second piece of line for a second fly.

Is this true?
What length should it be?
Will it improve my chances?
How to avoid tangles?

I mostly fish large ministry run reservoirs where sometimes 20 flys wouldnt make a difference, so i need all the help i can get.

Cheers

Search forums on this as there has been quite a lot of discussion over the pat 2-3 weeks. I am sure you get lots of info.
