Default Stuck in customs

I have had some tying materials stuck in customs for nearly two weeks.

Is this normal as it was posted usps priority mail.

How do i contact customs to try and find out what's going on.

Can anyone help?

Toby, if you know it's stuck in customs, you must have had some contact from them I gather, or how would you know where it is ?
Is there not any contact details, or can USPS not advise you.

I was given a tracking number for usps and it was tracked to UK customs.

Its been stuck there for ages.

I wondered how i would be able to contact them?

Its a pain as i have some great new gear in there.

Toby,

Put your same usps tracking number in the parcelforce.co.uk tracking.
Perhaps usps don't get all the info. It may have already gone through customs and being processed locally.

Cheers

Have done that.

It says awaiting custom charging

That was over a week ago.

What's so annoying is you pay your shipping fee then Parcel force decide to charge you admin fee's etc.

Its a disgrace.

The package could be in a container which has been impounded by customs and is awaiting a search. This is a very common occurence and used to happen all the time when we were importing stuff from Thailand. I wonder why ?

It could be a matter of days, weeks or months. You and UPS are powerless until customs release the item or container.

Hi Toby,

I hope this isn't the case but i was made aware some years ago that there were some restrictions on certain items imported/exported in the UK.
They were quite strict on animal by products i.e. skins, feathers etc
However i expect its just a customs inspection problem.

Regards

Richard
