Talking I`ve been framed

What`s you most embarassing moment at the river/fishery. Mine? I was fishing my local river, turned round to see about a dozen backpackers on the bank watching me. As luck would have it I hooked into a fish of 1/2lb, I unhooked it, turned to show it and tripped over a submerged rock and went head first into the water. I managed to stand waders full to click click click of cameras and hoots of laughter. Beat that.

When making up a wire trace while pike fishing i had a run on one of my rods , so i jumped up to deal with that and just threw what i was doing onto my seat ( you can see where this is going ) After a recast i went and sat down not knowing what was to follow...
As i settled down and got myself into the seat i felt a real sharp stab in the @rse . One of the size 6 trebble hooks i was putting onto a trace had stuck in the seat and in me also .
Where the ing comes in was the fact i had to get my mate to first cut a little bit of chair to remove the chair from me , then i had to let him do a little op on me to take hook from my @rse
I wish now i had thought of going barbless those 20 years ago

I got four of us caught in a rowing boat on the top of a weir (If you know the area it's the bottom end of Grasmere) where a crowd immediately started to gather.

It was voted and argued on board that because I had got us into the mess, I should jump into the water to pull us free. When I jumped out of the boat the boat lifted enough to clear the weir and I stood there waving goodbye to the other three as they went on a white water ride down the river in the direction of Rydal Water. The public reaction was alarming to say the least. Some laughed uncontrollably whilst others gasped in horror running to try and help.

Thanks to the guy on the bridge with his camcorder some of you may have genuinely seen this event on You've Been Framed. The rowing boat was a heavy ****** so we lost our deposit and I had a long wet walk back up the side of the lake.

I may have, but I would certainly like to see it again.
Sounds a classic.
