Lightbulb money saving tips?

any body got any tips to save a few pence on fishing gear??

my best saving at the minute is with floatant- I buy vaseline, the blue tin stuff. it melts well in your fingers and is easier than muclin to apply, but stays on longer than gink.

gink is 3.99 at best, mucilin 1.49, vaseline 1.19 and if you drop it in the river or whatever pretty much all cosmetic shops like boots or superdrug, and also supermarkets sell it.

a word of warning, place a good blob of it into an empty film canister. the small vaseline lids are hard to get off at the best of times!!!!

I carry 2 or 3 spools of mono filament in my fishing vest and I keep my 'stash' or standby reels inside an old knee length sock, inside my fishing bag. A knee length sock will hold 3 or 4 reels, easy.
Stops them unwinding and it's always easy to locate.
I won't tell you what gets stored in an old pair of my wife's knickers. That's another story.

That'll be the old wife then

What with your tackle in a sock......."Who's the daddy!"

Save on the studs but have to pay out for a new machine when it collapses in a heap!

Mines would be paint brush bristles instead of fibbets, save a bomb!
