DownStream is on a distinguished road
Default Pontardawe Question.

There's a funny sort of canalised river thing in Pontardawe - runs under a bridge on Herbert Street and then down the hill to join the Tawe.

Standing beside it I noticed a large fat-n-happy brown trout - does any one know who controls the fishing on that?

The Upper Clydach river runs down and joins the Tawe. The water under the bridge at Herbert Street is the Swansea Canal and this runs over the Upper Clydach river and into a weir just beyond (to the West of ) the river. Not sure who owns the fishing rights to the canal though.
