Default Locks

There was talk on here a while back of special type padlocks for rod cases which allow a security search but also prevent pilferage whilst travelling by air. I'm in London and need to get some today as I'm off to Scotland tomorrow. Advice please, except from the Minnesota Moron who I see in the last few days has posted on pike fishing in Blenheim, copyright in Corwen and torture in Syria. Even though such a polymath would know the precise shop in Surbiton where I could get said padlocks I would rather pull needles from my eyes.

I bet I wasn't the only one that "Polymath" had scrabbling for the dictionary?

Honestly, I used to run a wandering Tennis Club called "The Polymaths". Christ we were good!

These might fit the bill. Shop is in Kingston.

Just checked the link and it is not going to the correct page as the link has been truncated I think. Just click on the TSA approved locks bit on the top right.

How come you only need a lock when travelling to Scotland? What's the sub-text here?

Well, it's either because this is the first time I have transported my fishing tackle by air since the new restrictions or it's because you're all a bunch of hairy arsed thieves.

Was at a loss about this thread was about .. then I see the locks on the link. VERY popular addition for US travelers going 'off shore' as it were. Wife has been in Europe now for a month and these bloody things were one of my last chores to track down prior to her trip. Once I got the 'TSA' bit, very easy to find at most travel, luggage, etc., shops.

Cothi, you might find one at a shop called Travelling Light in Dover Street, its next door to that well known clothes shop, Orvis.
