Default Predicting a Good Evening Rise??

With warmer weather here to stay this week and with Summer fast approaching i will be enjoying some late evening fishing on the river.

I appreciate there are no guarantees in fishing but, how can we to the best of our ability predict a good evening rise? To break this down even further, i guess we are talking about conditions for flies to hatch and for spinners to return. Are there any tell tale signs to look for throughout the day. What should one look for regarding weather patterns and barometric pressure etc...

Thanks

The only foolproof indicator I have found is that when I am to busy at the office to escape onto the river at a reasonable time. The ensuing evening rise is usually a belter,,,

Blue winged olives are unpredictable beasts in my experience. A rising glass and muggy, overcast conditions have many times got me onto the river full of expectation....only to be badly let down.

Having said that, I would still favour mild, overcast, still evenings. You can usually ascertain that a good fall will occur by looking up at the bankside trees - if there are clouds of spinners dancing away, then you can bet that they'll be trout food later.
