Lightbulb Midge tip?

Hi, can anyone enlighten me as to what a Midge tip is? I keep hearing people say that they have done well on it. Is it a fly or a way of setting up your line?

It's a floating line with ''normally'' 3' of clear inter point.

Thanks guys.

What's the best set up. If I'm using buzzers I normally just use a long leader. I take it the midge tip/Snowbee buzzer line is a lot better?

(Still new to this)

If you want to try it without the cost ,Try an Airflo 5' intermediate polyleader on the front About £4,This will give you the same effect.and you can effectively fish the washing line tactic.(booby on point, buzzers /nymphs on droppers )
