Talking HER 1st fish ever, Snypes trout fishery

hi everyone,
have just returned to fishing after a long time doing other things family etc,
anyway my youngest daughter who is 7 years old has been pestering ( she did'nt have to try very hard) me to take her fishing on her first ever trip. anyway i got in touch with Alex Cairnie from Snypes Fishery in Neilston and set about arranging a visit.
bellow she is pictured with one of the three Rainbow trout she caught (very proud of her, i am ) on thursday afternoon, the excitement on her face will remain with me forever.

Click the image to open in full size.think i've got a fishing partner for life now as she is already planning our next outing
thanks again to Alex and (his apprentice) Joe for all the advice given , keep up the good work mate and all good things will follow.

Nice one Tinker...great place to start flyfishing.
There is plenty of space and more importantly..plenty fish!

Well done for getting her involved at such a young age, hope to get me wee boy into it soon also..he`s 6 at the moment, so not too long to wait.

cheers Diarmid.

I just love to see these pictures of kids first fish
It takes me right back to when i was a child and started to fish with my father , It also reminds me of just how that eternal flame within me that is the "need" to fish first started to burn

Oh no!
that makes SharkeyJ's trout looks small. He'll be pestering me for another trip soon. He's already floating the idea of an evening session after school.
Well done the wee lass!
