Question Yellow triffids

I suspect the gardener is responsible for these but what are they please?

It's a peace lily – Spathiphyllum – of some sort, I'd say. I've never seen a yellow one before though.

Ah, I've seen these on my local golf course and always thought they looked nice.

Ha! Peace lily, my ****! According to Wikipedia, bears use it as a laxative after hibernation, to ensure that they do indeed **** in the woods.

I saw some of those near here recently. They definitely weren't in or near a garden, but were near water. Is it an escapee then?

I'll see if I can remember where and get some pics.

They look like they are the same family as the Cuckoo Pint (Jack in the Pulpit, Lords and Ladies etc). Some foreign cultivar...

Those are the infamous skunk cabbage. I believe they were introduced from the 'States'. They are grown in the grounds of Winderwath House, where I first saw them, and they stink!! Two sniffs would make you greedy in my book --- or a masochist. Nice colour, shame about the smell! TC

i would get it out, anything that grows by rhizomes is likely to be a pain to get rid of in the future,
