Default Rio Flylines' Simon Gawesworth and Guide Fly Fishing at Tweedswood casting event 4/5

May 4th 10am-4pm - free

Simon Gawesworth is one of those rare individuals – a UK game fishing professional who has gone over to the States and made a difference to fly fishing. In Simon’s case, he’s been a major force in the development of Rio fly lines, and the native is returning to these shores in May where he and the Guide Fly Fishing team will be holding a casting and demonstrating day on a delightful middle-Tweed beat. This will be a great opportunity to get some free casting tuition on running water from highly qualified instructors and sample some new products.

Along with Simon, the Guide Fly Fishing team of Jim Fearn (AAPGAI), John Legg (AAPGAI) and Martyn Robinson will also be participating

Information about the Tweedswood beat can be found at http://www.tweedswood.com/

Parking is good, and visitors are asked to head for the fishing lodge. The event is free, and there will be a free prize draw for all who attend.

Lightbulb Great news.

Simon had mentioned (e mail exchange) he was headed 'East' but not the 'what for.' Anyway, one of the most delightful fellows you'll ever meet ... and one hell of a casting instructor. (He's also known to take a wee dram ... or two. If you want to surprise the heck out of him see if you can run down a bottle of Glen Ord single malt.

He met his wife at the distillery, and if memory serves, her father still lives on the property.
