Default House of Hardy, Alnwick

Dear All,

I just got back from a weeks holiday in Northumberland, during which I visited the House of Hardy museum and shop in Alnwick.

For those who are not from that part of the world, it is well worth a visit if you are in the area.

There is a small museum of Hardy tackle and accessories, plus the shop, which stocks Hardy, Greys, some course stuff and other bits. They had some very good deals on lines and other bits and bobs.

The place is on an industrial estate but is not difficult to find. It is on a main road, between the town centre and the A1. There are brown signs that give directions.

Cheers,

Dovebob

If you talk to them nicely you can try a few rods and lines on the casting pool in front..................birdsnest

Birdsnest,

I did, and they let me have a go with a 6'6" Greys Streamflex.

I had the factory tour a few years ago and it was well worth the visit.
