tailing loop
firstly you are probably hitting it too hard on the forward cast but this also happens on the back cast when hit hard, what happens is when you cast too hard or jerk the rod to a stop the rod tip dips and instead of the line rolling out above the rod tip your rod tip actually dips and throws the line underneath and causes a loop that knots at the end,its like if you imagine taking the rod say to 3 oclock on the back cast then stop the rod at ten on the forward cast the line travels under the rod tip causing a loop that knots at the end, your angles must be the same on the forward cast as the back cast, they are also caused when hit hard you throw vibrations down the line and when the vibration comes to the end of the line it has nowhere to go and kicks back on itself, hope you understand this ok,remember the rod tip has to follow a straight line path between the two angles of the back and forward cast
