Sorry P, I had reports of sightings of May's from some reputable sorts on our waters on opening day (1/4/09).

Bearing in mind we also had a quite sizeable hatch in October I have no idea what's going on...

Nice going, haven't seen one so early before. Also good to see theTelegraph being used as a floor rag - as it should be!

Some magnificent hatches of Grannom on the Lower Test yesterday and today. They have been getting steadily better over the last five years at Nursling.
