On a completely unrelated matter, Craig. What car do you drive?

Craig,

I am not aware of any day ticket lakes in Derbyshire where you can spin for trout. Your best bet might be to join one of the clubs or syndicates that has course water with a few trout in as well. They may allow you to spin, but I'd check the rules before you sign up. I think you probably have your work cut out trying to find somewhere.

So long as a method is legal I believe in each to their own. However, Derbyshire has some fantastic fly fishing for trout and there are some really good value clubs and venues, many of which can be reached by public transport. Some venues are more difficult places to catch trout on the fly at than others, but there is plenty for beginer, intermediate and experienced angler.

I would suggest that you forget spinning and turn to the fly instead.

Craig

How about the aquarium you were planning to keep some in?
