For everyone who may already be involved in river habitat improvements (or who plan to be at some time in the future). Here is some guidance that is aimed at measuring the success of our Trout in the Town Projects.

However, if the sociological factors are omitted, the guide will also be invaluable to ANY river habitat project. The options for monitoring are extremely flexible (and can be moulded to individual resources)

The "hows", "whys" and "whens" of monitoring project success (and therefore being able to adapt and improve future work) are outlined on two links at the bottom of the page on this link: http://www.wildtrout.org/index.php?o...337&Itemid=311

There are two versions depending on the amount of detail required.
Best wishes,
Paul Gaskell (Trout in the Town project manager)

Very good papers Paul. I've treated myself to a print of the second one...
