Default Hanningfield ....best day ever!

A long shot and possibly not the forum area for it but I know more people look here than elsewhere......

Am hoping to fish Hanningfield again tomorrow and would like to take a boat out again.

Is there anyone else fishing H'Field tomorrow that would like to join me on a boat?

Hopefully someone that is a regular and knows more than me and can hopefully impart a few words of wisdom

Chigboro has become relatively (and I mean that politely) easy for me and I find Hanningfield a challenge and would like to keep trying to improve as a fisherman and figure a resevoir and Hanningfield is the next step up for me

Many thanks and please PM me if interested in sharing a boat tomorrow.

Ben

Ben, I am fishing Hanningfield tomorrow but have a boat partner.

We are practising for the Lexus on Saturday. Happy to show you where to go and the methods we think are working. There may be other HFA members around but I suspect they will be coming with partners.

I'm told it is fishing well to buzzers but they are stocking 3,000 fish this week, so I suspect Mr. Blobby will play a part

PM me your phone number - we are getting there 9ish.

Charlie

15 trout this morning - all on buzzers and nymphs!

What a brilliant day; even had THREE together, point, middle and bob fly all hooked up.

Thank you to Charlie and his boat partner Bart for the 'nod and wink' to fish a washing line on top.

Hanningfiled seems to be rather popular at the moment with the 'all method' anglers making up the numbers.

Well worth a visit!

Best of luck to Charlie and Bart for the Lexus tomorrow.

Ben

Yup it was a cracking day all round and nice to meet Ben.

Fish were about two-three feet down most of the time, and when you were on them there were pulls aplenty. I had two double hookups and also caught one whilst unhooking another

Hope we do as well in the match, but it seldom works out that way

Charlie

Just back from the Lexus at Hanningfield - what a match

I finished at 12.40 and came nowhere, all the top three went for bigger fish in an area at the far end of the dam and some huge fish were caught, best 6lbs 7 ozs but several 5's were weighed in by the two boats that went up there.

The rest of us went for a "stockie bash" mainly on nymphs on the washing line as Hanningfield fish came up into the top two feet most of the day. Rod average was 6.9 and the majority were done before 3pm, with only one boat staying out till the 6pm finish.

I also went to have a look at the 900 or so fish in the cages as they were fed - they are HUGE !!
