According to yesterdays Sun newspaper a trout loch near Newburgh in Fife was poisoned by poachers, with the death of 1500 brown and rainbow trout.
I'm just wondering if anybody has anymore information on this?

According to my local newspaper it's the Golden Loch.
John the owner does a weekly report in the Gazzette and he says that it was not poison that killed the fish, but something was introduced into the water that de-oxygenised the water and it asphyxiated the fish.
The police are investigating the matter and treating it as a crime scene.
On the up-side there has been no affect on the insect life, the oxygen levels are returning to normal, new stock is on it's way and they are just waiting on an okay from SEPA to re-open on Thursday.
