Default Hello

Hello to all!

This is my first post. I am new to fly fishing.

I spend time on rivers when I can, doing a bit of canadian canoeing. Travelled across Scotland last year, across a few lochs and down a few rivers, wild camping along the way. Which was great fun.

But there was something missing. I finally realised what it was!

A 9 foot, 4pc, 6W, Orvis, with WF 6 F line, 125 yards of 20lb backing dacron, and tippet.

[See. Im speaking your language already. ]

Anyway hello to you all. Im looking forward to learning more about your particular art form, and hoping to catch a few brownies along the way.

See you on the river.

Hoping to fish the River Wharfe in the not too distant future.

Welcome,

As a sometime canadian caoeist myself (well, pirogue actually) I'm always very pleased to see a fellow paddler taking up the fly rod.

Let us know how you progress.

Cheers,

Davidh
