Default Airflo boat seat

Can anyone comment on the new airflo boat seat which looks very competitively priced compared to other models? Also how safe is this type of seat which looks as though it could be a bit dodgy in a stiff blow i.e liable to move?

Advice appreciated.
Jaykay

Hi Jaykay,

I have used this seat for around a year now, very comfy and sturdy. Great price but the only downside is the weight of the bloody thing, having to hump rods, outboard, boat box and net is hard enough without lugging a half ton bum rest down also

Seriously though, well worth the pennies

Thanks, Walker. Sounds as though someone will have to invent a tackle barrow to help us fetch all of our gear from car to boat! I think, though that to enjoy a day's boat fishing, it does help to be comfortable, otherwise it can be murder on the poor old back (and bum).Very helpful. I think I'll invest

Cheers ,

Jaykay.

Yep used one for a year myself - its been fine , as mentioned it is bloody heavy and a bit fiddly to put up and strip down (watch those finger tips!).

I bungee my rod tube and net to the seat bag....might get a wee trolley for it all.

I've been using for a while now. Yes, it's a bit heavy and cumbersome, but then most seats are. And the weight does hlep to keep it relatively stable.
It is a but fiddly to put up and down, but that is more than compensated by the competitive price and the decent build quality and comfort that it delivers.

A bit heavy to carry and fiddly to put up, but once its up and your sitting on it, then it cant be faulted, especially when you consider it's price compared to the other rival models.

Treat yourself to the Rutland. It's miles lighter and less likely to take a finger off whilst setting up. I know they're expensive but they have stood the test of time.
