Default Pitsford on TV this evening

From Anglian Water website - Fishery News:

Well known angler and personality Hywel Morgan was at Pitsford on the bank on Wednesday making a film for Sky TV. Despite tough conditions with the wind blowing 28m.p.h. from the North West he caught a fish for the camera. The feature will be shown in this Friday’s Tightlines programme, broadcast on Sky Sport, presented by Keith Arthur. Senior Warden Nathan Clayton will be in the studio answering questions.

‘Tight Lines’ is on Sky Sports 2 at 9pm tonight(Friday). Repeated at 6am tomorrow morning.

Thanks to Northampton FDG for the info.

brilliant i will be watchig

i wish they would keep it on sky 2 instead of putting it on that bloody sky sports xtra every so often as i dont get that with my package and it costs £6 a month to add it into my package, and for one channel which i will only use 4 times in the month at most i just dont think its worth it (considering i already pay £75 p/m for my tv telly phone and broadband)

well that was a good if short article

The fishery manager recommended he try buzzers, so he set up a rod with 2 diawl bachs and a crisp packet buzzer, but then proceeded to fish lures and got nothing, then when he switched to his buzzer rod he got a fish! just goes to show, those fishery managers know what they are talking about!

well i take it back about it being too short as Nathan ( the pitsford manager) was on the show all the way through talking about different flys/lines and techniques.

Why cant they get Paul young to make some more "hooked on" programs?

I agree with you,I turned up at Ladybower this morning for my first ever fly fishing session and bought a few flies in the fishery office on the managers recommendation.I fished for four hours without a fish and was starting to get a bit fed up when a fellow angler who had just started fishing twenty yards from me came down and asked me how I was doing, when I told him I'd had no fish he went back to his bag pulled out a white and pink cats whisker and said here give this a go, Half an hour later I had two fish in the bag.I'm over the moon after catching my first fly caught trout and many thanks to that kind angler.
