Default sink tips

When i'm fishing with a floating line and i want to change to a sink tip, i just add on a poly leader slow or medium sink to my floating line. This is much cheaper and much quicker than changing lines.
But i was wondering is it better to fish a a full sink tip line, what are the benefits ?

The polyleaders are a good interim mesure, but don't last very long.

i fish a snowbee xs midge tip line (#7) and rate it highly. esp at this time of year when fishing the margins, not only does it give you greater flexibilitiy of depth, the extra weight helps plumbs like me cast a little easier in the wind.

i wouldnt be without mine now, its my baby.
