Default Rod Licence Renewal

Just a quick reminder to renew your rod licence, if you haven't already done so.

Will sort mine at the local post office later this morning.

Renewed mine at the local post office:

I wanted the migratory ticket but last year had just a trout/coarse - lots of potential confusion.

Nice Lass took the renewal letter - typed in the details and handed back the renewal letter with a (stapled to it) receipt - four days later the new format license arrived in the post.

Nae bother.

FWIW, I do mine by direct debit. Get a letter a few weeks before just checking that I still want it and then it just arrives through the post..painless.

Default Rod Licence Query

Guys

Can someone answer this for me, I am sure there is a very simple reason / answer.

Where does the money go from your rod licence, I know it goes to the Environment Agency, but with all the anglers in England and Wales it must amount to a lot of money. What are you actually getting for your money???

I don’t want to start a “them and us” thing, I’m not into that; but in Scotland we have no rod licence, we have SEPA which is our equivalent of the Environment Agency but they don’t come cap in hand every year looking for what I think; is a lot of money.

Regards
d.pat

Watch this space,Unless we stand up to the Authorities we will have rod licences soon.(not an April fools joke)
And as alex Cairny has found out SEPA's charges are through the roof.
