Default Help..

Hello all, I hope you can help.

I'm heading up to Arisaig (just south of Mallaig) for the easter weekend and was wondering if anyone could suggest where I might be able to get some Fly Fishing tuition. I've never done it before (and haven't fished at all for many years) so I guess I'm looking for somewhere that is "beginner friendly"!!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike.

Is anyone able to offer any options for me here?

Thanks,

Michael.

Mike you'r really out in the boonies at Arisaig/Morar, I would have serious doubts about finding a casting instuctor/Fly fishing instuctor.
best bet would be to ask in the pub and you might get a local who will show you the ropes.
There are no rainbow fisheries in that local, nearest being at Torlundy nr Fort william,But there are plenty of wild trout lochs.

I doubt you'll get any tuition in that location. There are boats on Morar and I think a Gillie for the salmon fishing so if you contact the estate there (don't know its name) they might help out but I doubt it will be cheap.

Arisaig is a lovely spot, I've caught sea trout off the beach there and I did Ok while fishing Morar, in amongst the islands, but have to admit I spent more time watching the eagles that were soaring around.
