Lightbulb Making a shooting head

Hey guys i have a sixth sence di5 line that i got given and it has some damage on it some of the blue top layer has peel'd off on the line showing the core braid?

my question is could i cut the line and make it into a shooting head? if so how?

im asking this because the damage on the line is down the line longer than i can cast it.

regards

craig

Craig, if the damage is on the running line that exceeds your casting distance why turn it into a shooting head?

Have a read of this, from Global Fly Fisher, it will explain the idea behind and process of making a shooting head.

send it back to airflo i,ve read 2 post in the last week with the same problem. they evidently have problems with they lines. which i have one myself if it happend anything up to 3 years it will be going back. you dont pay that kind of money for a line that,s going to fall apart. Good luck Alan. if it,s a ridge line it,s got a 5 year guarantee.
