Screw that! Get some gear and go fishing. Nobody has ever caught anything waiting around the house for the weather to change. OK, well, I heard about some guys catching something in a town in Alaska while they were waiting for the weather to change, but that's a different story.
And before somebody bleats that you'll teach yourself bad habits, again, screw that. You've already got the ultimate bad habit: You want to fish, you're reading about fishing, you're watching fishing DVDs. You've spent time doing everything except actually fishing. It doesn't get any worse than that.
Fishing badly is scientifically proved to be 100% better than not fishing at all.
Anyway, lessons are vastly over-rated, IMO A lesson teaches you how to cast, fishing teaches you how to fly fish. Remind me again, what's the name of this sport? Oh, yeah, it's fly fishing.

You can learn to cast whenever, why waste perfectly good fishing time waiting around for the fair weather casting instructor?
Get a rod and reel and a day ticket somewhere and hit the freaking water. Fishing is more fun than waiting around for lessons.
