Default Bbq

I was just wandering what the rules are regarding BBQ's by the river.

I know allot of places don't allow open fires by the river bank but what about a responsible person with a proper bbq.

I'm of fishing on Saturday and its my turn to provide the food so i thought i would come up with something a bit different from the usual cold rolls.

The river I'm fishing has no ghillie and my party will be the only one on the beat.

What you guys think?

if you contact your angling club they will let you know. the majority of places are against fires, so a properly built fire would definately be a bad idea. not sure what the view on disposables etc would be though. where is it you are fishing?

I think a good rule of thumb would be to ensure you leave no trace and do no damage, so a small portable BBQ that is off of the ground and does not burn the grass/ground should be no probs, but i guess it is up to the land/river owner.
