Default Casting a sinking line V Casting a floater

The genaral opinion of airflo lines is sinkers are good there floaters are ****. i,ve got a 6th sense. I find it casts well I also have a ron thomson sinker that also casts well. Recently i,ve tried a snowbee xs and a coutrland 333 none of them have the same feel to them as either of the sinking lines ? Is that just how sinkers are ? or is it that the lines do not suit me or the rod. should a floating line feel the same ?

Default

Don't lose any sleep over this, it's quite common for sinking lines to feel as if they are zipping out better than floating lines of the same AFTM rating. The sinker is of a different specific gravity to the floater, so it is slimmer and has less air resistance.

Default line

What length is your rod, sinkers do feel that they cast better but you should still be able to cast a good line with the floater, could be your casting
