Hope you find your stuff Jonnie.

Incredibly when I first joined the forum a few years ago and was a bit of a "noddie", I had a rod pulled in at Grafham, posted it on the board and someone else from here had caught the fish and got my rod - how about that

I feel for you, a loss like that can take years to replace.

Sorry to here that you lost some gear, there is never a good time to lose kit because it is so expensive.

Sorry to hear that you lost your kit and hope that some kind hearted soul returns them to you.

It reminds me of a little rhyme I was told by a wily old angler as a youngster. He always said it to himself in the car park of the local fishery to make sure nothing was left behind.

"Rod, reel, net, boots, creel"

To this day (26 years later) I repeat that when leaving the river. (And heading out of the house to go fishing for that matter.

Were you fishing the Water of Leith for instance or Resevoir some where. What location where you fishing as it might help to get your gear back.

Have you tried the obvious Jonnie, like telephone the local police or stick an advert in the evening news?
