Default Old books - opinions please

Hi, I have just been passed down two fishing books and was wondering if they are any good ( I only got them tonight so haven't read them).

One is called 'How to catch trout' and is by 'Three Anglers' and is dated 1905 and cost one shilling.

The other is newer, The Art of Trout Fishing byWilliam B Currie and is number 2 in a series of 5 fishing books and was published in 1963.

I know nothing of old books but I will bet there are few of you out there who do.

Many thanks,

Ally

Try googling them I did with a book I have and it turns out it is worth £40 or something not that I would sell it as its a proper old school fly tying book.

ANYTHING by Bill Currie is worth reading.
And reading again.

The WB Currie book is a paperback from Oliver & Boyd in a 7 book series. Very good read, A bit dated ,Slightly collectible .cost 5 shilling's new.
As stated, anything by WB Currie is worth reading.

Best price I could find for the How to Catch Trout by three anglers was £50 for the 1896 edition.

Anyone who wants a read at it can do so here. The flip book is the easiest or download the .pdf and read it that way.

I have Currie's 'Days and Nights of Game Fishing' and agree with the others, a very good writer.
