Default Engraved Fly Box

I wonder if anybody could suggest somewhere that I could take a look for an engraved fly box? Ideally, I am looking for a large double wooden fly box, that I could get a message engraved onto. Any pointers would be great. Thanks.

most cobblers here do engraving and plaques etc , also jewlers but you obviously have to supply the fly box

The wooden Wheatley boxes (like this one, for example) have a brass plate for engraving.

I have a double wooden fly box, nipped into a locksmiths (timpsons like shop) who engraved a wee brass plaque and stuck it on, was no more than a £5 and years on still looks good.

I have no idea what its called but Im sure someone will follow me up with the process, but I remember being at high school and using a heat pen (like a soldering iron) to burn a pattern in to wood.

This might be a nice alternative to a brass plate.

Sorry I couldnt be more helpful though

A Jeweller will arrange for more intricate work. Give them the artwork and they will do a picture with shading that is unmatched, even on reels.
