Default New style rod licence

Hi all
Has anybody received their new licence yet?
Mine arrived this morning, well I was quite suprised There's me expecting it to be plastic just like a credit card, well its the same shape and size but thats were the similarities end, Its made from plastic covered paper the same thickness as the letter that it was part of.
The letter tells you to push the licence out of the letter well mine did not want to budge, and when it did part of the front tore off
Another thing that I have noticed is that although the front and back are covered with plastic the sides are not,so I don't think it will be very waterproof.
I rang the E.A and the nice lady I spoke to was quite supprised as she thought the new licence was going to be just like a plastic credit card not a thin piece of plastic coated paper. She has advised me to return it for a replacement, as mine just might have been 'dodgy' as she put it.
I think the new style is a good idea but surely it would be better made of plastic.
Well at least the picture of the salmon on it it is nice.

I must admit that i too was under the impression that the new licences would be like a plastic credit card although a search of the EA website reveals little

Mine arrive today after ordering Tuesday, I was led to beleive that they were plastic but still a great improvement on the old one. Would have prefered a solid plastic one but If I take a soaking and its in my wallet it will be the least of my worries. Intend to keep mine in a waterproof pouch along with my phone and keys

I don't give a FF WTF they look like, or whether they're waterproof or not, they still ain't worth £26!!! The Environment Agency do sweet FA for our water.
