I see he has upped the amount of swearing this series..maybe its to make him look 'ard!! The guy is a wimp (except going out in that trawler..sod that!)

I am really not looking forward to next weeks one with "garden fork hunting for Pike" in Alaska.

My partner hates me shouting at the TV..but even she was doing it when he was on!

As for his fishing skills..well..he cant cast a fly, he cant cast a spinner and when he plays fish he drops the rod tip and winds when the fish is taking line..basic beginner mistakes. I am sure he has done very little fishing in the past.

You could see the guides getting twitchy when he was holding fish, as if they where saying "for god sake man, leave your ego behind and get the fish back in the water!!"

I am sure he has a full Hardy Outfit at home..seems the type

Hmmm, I dont appreciate the Marlin wrestling as that can hurt the fish but the fishing from a longboard seems like getting on eye level with the fish and cant see how this can be all that bad albeit a bit dangerous for him if the Marlin or Saily turns on him and he gets a bill through the stomach.

Also a bit dodgy from the point of view of all the commotion attracting sharks - bad for him and the fish.

Also, he cant 'back down' on the fish for a quick release.

OK, maybe he is a wally then

I can see PETA getting hold of this shortly.........

If one of that nutter's target marlin gets nosey and looks up at him as he enters the water, he's liable to end up being skewered.
To give an example of how dangerous marlin can be:-- According to a book by Howard Hill, possibly the world's finest archer, a marlin was hit accidentally in the head with a hunting arrow during a fishing spell in the Gulf of Catalina, and it went crazy -- shot off in a wide semi-circle, came back towards the boat which was towing a little fibre glass dinghy, went clean through one side of the dinghy and ended up with its head jammed in the other side. I wouldn't think it was a deliberate move by the fish, but it shows how tough they are. TC
