DownStream is on a distinguished road
Default The best laid plans - rethink.

New trout season opens this coming week - and I thought I'd arrange to join the Glynneath club - and chase brown trout on the rivers this year....

So I met the secretary and we had a bit of a chat and I signed up and paid the membership.

And then he mentioned that there were Sewin and some Salmon....

Now the original intention was to chase brownies with an 8' #4 and maybe a 9' #6 where it got a bit more open, but I've got a 9'6" #7/8 which I've been using on blustery days for rainbows...

Host of questions:
What sort of sizes are the silver tourists on the Neath?
Are there many?
Rod size and type?
What's this about fishing with fly at night? - sounds like a recipe for lots of disasters.
