how much is a years permit on the awe now as I'm trying to find a few places to buy permits for this season.

Seriously considering walking to Beacon Tarn and having a play. Doubt I'll catch anything, but that's not the only point

Like almost ever angler on this forum, i also can't wait for the 15th so we can start fishing for browns but also hoping the end of April comes quick as well so more of those trout will be rising to dry flies!
