Default Exmoor in May

I am going on holiday staying at the Tarr Farm Inn (near Dulverton) in May. Can anybody recommend any small stream day ticket fishing nearby please.

Regards

Peter

The Exmoor Forest Inn have 1.5 miles or so up from Landacre Bridge, nr Exford on the Barle - I can thoroughly recommend it having had a recommendation from a good fellow on this forum last August. There are a couple of other beats available not far from Tarr Farm available through the tackle shop in Dulverton, Lance .......? I forget the last name.

WCB form this forum will know every pool on theBarle and the Exe - (having poached most of them) and I expect he will give you some more detailed ideas.

Otherwise there is the East and West Lyn.

As WCB said contact L. Nicholsons http://www.lancenich.f9.co.uk/
They can sort you out with various day and club tickets on the Exe, Barle and Haddeo. Also worth a look is the Lyn on the north coast. Tickets from Lynton tourist information centre (in Lynton town hall) or from the shop in Malmsmead for the upper reaches (Badgeworthy Water).
The strech of the Barle flowing past Tarr Farm is private these days, which is a bit of a pity.

You have a PM.

Andy
