Default He's Baaaaack!!

Incredibly, it seems as though another series of 'Extreme fishing with Robson Green' has been given the go ahead, and judging by the 'trailer' which show's him vomiting off the side of a boat, the emphasis and target has not changed one iota. Here's to more carnage, bloodletting, and ammo for the antis.

Why show this rubbish and not something like catching the impossible.?

Great, I can't wait...
Could be worse though, imagine if it was 'Extreme Fishing with Jemery Clarkson'.

**** the fishing let's make a programme about an ego. Every bit of the last programme I saw he was being handed a rod and line with a fish on it. I don't actually recall seeing him catch anything himself!

Don't know what the point of the programme is really!

I've never seen it, but can it be much worse than the bass fishing programme on sky sports extra?

(For those who haven't seen it, it follows the pro bass fishing leagues in the US, lots of racing around in speedboats, NFL style commentary, crowds cheering, flashing lights and high fives all round etc.. etc..)

Yes it can.

The Robson Green show is truly appalling on several levels. A number of us on here complained about the previous series to the TV Channel and to the Broadcasting Standards Authority, citing damage to the image of angling and ammunition for the antis.

Needless to say we got bland and jobsworth-type replies .

I've never seen it either, but from horrific descriptions it's not only worse than televised bass fishing in terms of OTT, but it sounds far worse for the reputation of sport angling in general.

Bass fishing is OTT in terms of showmanship and genera rah-rah cheerleading, but that's what brings in the big sponsors and the money that makes it possible. Just like F-1 racing, it wouldn't be possible if the cars were all painted battleship gray. Behind the OTT glitz there is a tremendous respect for the fish and great pains are taken to return all the fish alive after weigh in. Survival rates for the fish are well over 90%, and any fish that must be dispatched are processed and given to local agencies either homes for the elderly or food programs.

And they're not speedboats, they're bass boats. Completely different from a speedboat.

Don't you believe it.

It's full of 'yeah MAN's and WOW MAN's which typically occur after some horrible act of mutilation using any type of sharp object. add a small dash of wanton wildlife massacre and you're about there.

It's terrible.
