Default life jackets ??

i am after a couple
of life jackets for me and my daughter(11) ,any recomendations please ,ie models and where from.

Have a look on sailgb.com, they have a good range on there. I got one of the Baltic FlyFisher's automatics which is nice and compact, but a non FF would be equally fit for purpose.

Depends - on where and who.

There are three basic types in common use:#

The 50N foam vest - a swim assistance device - does not turn the victim face up
The 150N Inflatable - Turns Victim face up - even if unconscious
The 250N Offshore job (ignore these)

Lot of folk like the 150N inflatables 'cos they are small, light and cool even on a hot day - the big disadvantage is that - once they are inflated - self rescue (climbing back into a boat) becomes VERY difficult.

I recently ordered a couple from Here

There manual 175n's with a spare recharge kit+crutch strap included.

There's lots of different types out there. It may be a case of looking through various sites at the pictures and deciding what style you want/need.
