The fly shop here in Ashland, Oregon actually has wood floors, with the odd flat copper sheet tacked down where repairs were needed. Walk in a little bell above the door rings to let Will know someone's there. Now THAT is 'old school.'
Back on line now, and PM's going back and forth with John to find out/confirm my order came through on his 'on-line' shop. I need to confirm my credit card info came through on his end too. When I hit the 'submit payment' button the first time nothing happened ... so did it again. And that set off all of Capital One's credit cards electronic bells and whistles.
Fellow actually called me
** from the credit card company to confirm the transaction (79 Pounds). Assured him it was and he was going to 'authorize' the charge. Need to call them back today and check/confirm the funds transfer. What makes it a bit touchie is John uses a intermediate on line company so no way for me to check 'your end.'
Geeze, what a pain in the butt.
** Now how the credit card company had my cell phone number is a ???????? Only thing that's occurred to me (as I type this) is I've had the same phone number (cell) for years and it may have been on the original card application. Actually, the number was the first one issued (back in 1995/6) by A T & T in all of Southern Oregon.
