hi shadrapper, this takes me back a good few years, the fishing at tighnabruaich used to be brilliant, beautiful brownies and a few rainbow, the permit was cheap and could fish three lochs for a couple of quid. my son and i used to camp there, the midges are horrendous, so make sure you take a midge net or your fishing will be wasted in the better weather. i have been meaning to go back there for quite some time now, i will definitely go this coming season for a few days. if you go, let me know how it is now.
billy.

I have fished arround Dunoon a few times (hope to be back up soon) and have fished Loch Tarsan for brown trout, Dunoon resi for rainbows and also river massan for brown trout small but very nice fish. The local angling club do have a web site try google, it is called Dunoon and district angling club. They do have a forum but does not seem to be used much. The local tackle shop is called Purdies in the high street if you need up to date info they are very helpfull.
Hope this helps you
Please post on here if you fish locally, any info regarding venues or tips would be gratefully received .
regards Kenny

cheers kenny,

know all about whats in the waters just never fished them. i live on the isle of bute so they are relatively close to me. and being relatively new to full time fly fishing i thought this is the place to ask questions. your right about the dunoon forum. poste on it a while back but no-one seems to look at it.

or perhaps they can smell a piker a mile a way???
