hi all , looking for some help as i would love to have my own boat but having trouble finding water to put it on and wondered if anyone knows of such places that allows this ?. i live in the edinburgh/midlothian area and would love to be able to reach the water for an evenings cast but failing that a weekend .
brown trout fishing is prefered but mixed would be fine a loch or reservoir is what i had in mind. thanks in anticipation

Hi Wee Mo
The only place I can think of in the Borders is StMarys or Loch of the Lowes

The Land Reform (Scotland) act provides a statutory right of access to very nearly all the inland water in Scotland for unpowered craft - but this is not a right to fish.

So a ticket to water which does not explicitly exclude the use of a boat.....

You still have to get your craft to the water!!

Any "Unpowered Craft" you can pick up and carry should be reasonably easy - there is a surprising lack of coracles for sale...
