Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if anyone watched any fishing channels online.

As Im sure a lot of you know that here in the UK theres only a couple of channels which show fishing on the telly.

Discovery real time extra will show all sorts of fishing programmes and sky sports has recently introduced bass fishing.

I was watching the Cyprus v Serbia football match (which may or may not be legal viewing ) and I was wondering if anyone in other countries has fishing programmes which I could find online?

Or alternatively you may already know of some links to such channels.

I think I have watched most of the ones on youtube so I need something else to watch or its Eastenders for me!

Any fly fishing specific ones? Theres not many shows on this, maybe just the odd episode now and again.

Viper, Matt Hayes is the only one that Ill happily rewatch. I quite like the Banter between him and his co-host, Sir Michael!

Im only in to fly fishing really but I loved their programmes The Great Rod Race and The Greater Rod Race.

I hate that Jeremy Wade character, theres something creepy about him. He does the amazon fishing and what not, the Scottish guy.

I love the Canadian guy, The Fishing Adventurer.. He gets so excited and always has fun!

Paul Youngs shows will show quite a bit of fly fishing but he doesnt hook half the fish it shows him landing!

Henry Gibley (Gilbey?) is just plain daft

Clueless, I know.. Eastenders is terrible... but there are a few old trouts on it so atleast its fishing related

i love rex hunt, him and bushy have some fun together, and he's always kissing and putting em back

thats the program that i watch on real time the other night, the great rod race, and i would watch more, but i just think he sounds very plummy and proper, and does sir micheal even speak? i thought he was a mute.

You should watch both The Great Rod Race and The Greater Rod Race too mate, both really good shows and a lot of fun.

Yeah the guy does speak lots, its Hayes show I think so he gets most air time but usually its nearly 50-50

Ive not seen too many Rex Hunt shows but the ones I have seen are good fun too.

After seeing it I started to kiss my fish before putting them back til one slapped me and told me to take it to dinner first

I hope you obliged it. a couple of knobs of garlic butter work wonders in the oven with a trout.

only caught 2 episodes of the great rod race the other night, they were going after catfish but couldn't catch one,

Rex used to be on discovery channel lots around 2000, me and my dad used to sit and watch them all the time, always surprises me the creatures that he kissed, i wouldn't have went near half them after 10 pints lol

shame there isnt more fly fishing programs on tv, maybe a niche some producers may want to look into??
