Default fishing breakthrough?

Reading through this months TF out of one of the pages jumps the Holy grail of flies under the heading"INCREDIBLE SCIENTIFIC FISHING BREAKTRHOUGH"
an illuminated fly which catches salmon and trout 100% guaranteed.
Call the recorded no for delivery.

"increases your catching ability with record breaking results"

(ultrabite springs to mind)lol

Firstly I dont have any connection with this myself and wont be jumping to buy them whatever they are but Has anyone else seen them or used them.

If its true we can do away with fly tying and alot of other things aswell.

i think you would have heard by now funny how they have to advertise secrets

once sellotaped a mini luminous float indicator onto a spinner and immediately caught a mackerel though.

Caught a garfish on a crabline with hook wrapped in cigarrette paper once. Do you reckon I've invented a scientific breakthrough too???

Probably unlawful (at least under Scots law). No doubt some folk with enough gullibility will fall for it.

There's always a gadget of the year or similar, that secret weapon, new fly pattern, aerosol fish attractor...

None of them work as well as some basic water craft

I can't help wondering if anybody ever tried baiting a hook with bull 'droppings'?
I ask simply because there is usually a lot of that stuff attached to each wonder fishing product that 'hits the street'.
Pardon this sidestep, WelshO, how big was the garfish? I ask because I once had one take a sea perch while rock fishing near Steamer Point, Aden, as a lad.
That one fell off, but I saw it clearly, and it was over three feet long. It had been attacking a huge shoal of little fish, like a pair of scissors gone mad.
Brilliant colouring, very cylindrical body.Cheers TC
