Default ORVIS Waders?

Hi All,

I'm hoping that there is someone on this forum, who has successfully managed to repair leaking waders!

I have a pair of : ORVIS ENDURA WADERS, that leak in three place's, the inside leg, Knee area, both sides; and the crotch area!

I have purchased some waterproof glue, also some duck-tape! - What is the best method to repair leaking waders? What would you use? Will water proof duck-tape and water proof glue work, if used together? HELP PLEASE!

Regards.

Mostyn

Are your waders not covered by the warranty ??
I had two new pairs from Orvis when the originals would have been five years old .
They just test / check the originals and send you a new pair , i even asked for a smaller size and they did that for me as well no questions asked .
Always buy Orvis breathables because the warranty is so good .

Send orvis customer services an email from their website and explain the situation. They will ask you to cut a 6" x 6" piece of material from your waders and send it to them with a covering note and the original receipt if you have it. They will then send you a new pair of waders. Great customer service

Thanks Guys!
I know about Orvis service and the exchange procedure for waders!! _ What I would like to know is how to repair them myself? They are a spare pair I had given me, I'm hoping I can seal the leaks!

My original question was : Has anyone successfully repaired a pair of leaking waders? if so, what did you use, and what was the method of repair?

Help Please!

I have used the repair kit that comes with the Orvis waders. Using the iron it was quite easy to do but the repair didn't last long. I then tried Stormsure, but this doesn't last long either at the seams as it wears over time. The only thing I haven't tried is to put the stormsure on the inside of the waders and that's what I will be trying next. After that they're back off to Orvis for a replacement.

The good thing about my pair is that they are the Pro Guide and the newer models have the seams on the back of the legs and this should eliminate most of the repair problems.

Aquaseal is the kiddy for wader repairs. Just gloop it on.
There has been plenty written on here about Orvis and their great customer service (and possibly slightly dodgy quality...).

Aquasure is excellent stuff. Repaired a tear in mine, havn't looked back since. Even repaired my wellies when they got punchured by barb wire. When finished repairing the waders put the tube of Aquasure into the freezer and it will last for ages.

Yes aquasure/aquaseal/stormsure will work, but it won't last long on the seams.

Failing all that buy a new pair. All waders are 50% off in the sale at Orvis.
