Hello all.

Having joined the forum back in 2007 and made the odd post hear and there, the guilt of not introducing myself when I joined has increased.

Have fished for 30+ years mainly around Oxford on the Thames and tributaries and later on Farmoor reservoir, chub to 6.3, perch to 3.10 and barbel to 9.6. Started on Farmoor 2 in 84 and then joined Farmoor 1 in 89 best brown of about 5.0, left Farmoor 1 in 2000 (to many people winging about brown to rainbow stocking levels) to concentrate on the barbel, returned to trout fishing in 2006.

I am decidedly average angler who has enjoyed and gained from wealth of knowledge on this forum, it was this forum than spurred me back into trout fishing, thank you all, I hope that I am able at some point to pass on some of my average knowledge.

I feel that now I've said my hello I can post with confidence, what a breath of fresh air.

PS, I now have a PC at home hence the ability to post more frequently.

Hello, Plumpy, welcome to the world of the average fly fishers. We are all average on here, some are just a bit more average than others. Most of the threads in which you might become involved are going to be most helpful or amusing/entertaining; but take my advice and avoid getting involved in the less pleasant, unless you have really strong feelings about the content. Like the open season, life is too short.
Have a good year. Tight lines, TC
PS BTW, you are my senior on here by several months!!
