River Tay Estuary

Anyone fished this when the tide goes out ? I saw about 5 guys fly fishing well out on channel across the sands near tentsmuir point [ like a 40 min walk from carpark ] Iv never seen any of the guys catching . Are these guys salmon fishing or sea trout ? I went out once with the spinning gear but I was just collecting sea weed as the tide was going in and out .

the last time I was out there trying to catch I spotted this and snapped a photo . I sent the picture to the sunday post in dundee and the published it ! first time iv ever seen a dolphin and Im sure it was putting on a show for me . I was myself and couldnt even share this with anyone !!!





I got a tenner for the photo and 3 quid for the story lol

Bloody papparazzi! Poor dolphin just out for a swim and there you are stalking the thing trying for a snap!!

Maybe worse, you had a rod in hand and were trying to cast out to it!!

tell you something ally lol , A had cast out with a crusty old bloodworm and the dolphin was right on it as i had my big pike rod wi 60lb braid casting for the guiness record . I saw the dolphin and.... poo'ed myself a little bit and brought it back in then concentrated on getting a photo

It was 1 of those thing when a was like "did that just happen ? " .... "was a dolphin right infront of me in the tay ? " lol
