Default penrith AA day ticket waters

hi, planning ahead, I went to the eden last july on my first river session and had the experience of a life time, it was fantastic a real priveldge to be there and i caught 2 fish as a bonus, (the fact being that there is more to fishing than catching fish?)
Is there anybody advise me on other stretches of day ticket rivers in and around the same area we fished between Appleby-in-westmoorland and penrith, from Bolton bridge up to the members only stretch. thanks

Grimmie,

I cant advise of any other waters that you can fish, but could you indulge me as to where you get the Day Tickets from and where they allow you to fish?

Hi grimme, Penrith tackle dealers Sykes and John Norris's can sort fishing for you on the Eden and it's tributaries.
Also google Penrith AA you should get all the information you need.

Penrith AA tickets also from Pooley Bridge Post Office which virtually sits on the Eamont as it comes out of Ullswater.

There is also the go wild scheme in effect around that area, might be worth a look.

Default Penrith AA day ticket waters

Hi' Grimme, as my friend Steven, mrtrout, says, our tackle dealers, John Norris and C R Sykes, will sort you. Appleby AA, Kirkby Stephen AA, Brampton AA,
Keswick AA and Carlisle should also be able to supply your needs.
Penrith AA undoubtedly has the biggest fishery, thirty plus miles, but it is not all
available on day or weekly permits.
There are other possibilities. Lazonby Estates, Lazonby Parish, Tufton Arms at Appleby and King's Arms at Temple Sowerby. That's a lot of water.
Carlisle AA water on the Eden is best known for salmon, but the big river does have some good trout. A 6 3/4 lb brown was taken by a lad worming for sea trout a while back, in Rickerby Park. There is also water on the Caldew, some controlled by Carlisle AA; some by Dalston Hall, used to be about a mile of brown trout, sea trout and salmon water; and I believe there is still a ticket available for Dalston town water. Cheers TC
