I took a wander along to the GO! Outdoor shop in Coatbridge last night as they are having a sale at the moment. I went to see if i could pick up any bargains on jackets or waterproof trousers and the likes. Unfortunately i didn't manage to see anything i liked in those catergories BUT i did look in the fishing section...

I had been in GAC the middle of last week to look at waistcoats and saw the Scierra Nevada waistcoat for £39.99, i liked it as it was relatively cheap, looked not bad, and was exactly the sort of thing i was looking for! To my amazement i found the exact same waistcoat in GO last night for £21.99! RESULT!

I think the moral of the story, is don't part with your cash right away, go and have a look about all the shop etc, see who has sales on and you never know... Now i just need to try and haggle some money off my new salmon fly kit i'll be getting soon

Yeah but nothing to shout about http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/ You really have to visit the store if you want to buy anything. It's a good shop for hillwalking/outdoor gear mainly, and it's just your luck if somethings on sale when you're in. Its only got a small fishing 'department' so i was pleasantly surprised when i found that!

Scotty if you are still looking for a pair of waterproof trousers,try Macarthur Glen shopping mall over at Livingston.I picked up a pair of Nike Goretex bottoms in the Nike shop at £42,reduced from£150.This was only a few weeks back.Andy
