Default "Green of The Water" fly

I've inherited a fly box with flies, some of which I can't identify as they have fallen out of their named slots. One is "Green of The Water". Can anyone help me with a description or picture please.

John

Never heard of it mate.

This kind of thing usually works best if you post the pictures and we identify.

Thanks a lot Midlander, you got it in one . The box has pencilled names on it and with wear the front half of "Queen" looked like "Green". I've matched it with one of the loose flies.

Scratch, I would have done as you suggest but the box has about 10 - 15 flies that are all loose and therefore unnamed, so I was unable to isolate one. I have been scouring the Web and mail order catologues and those are the ones I can't put a name to. Also I don't know how to transfer a ".jpg" photo into the "http://" type required for posting. When I get that sorted I'll try again.

Thanks again.

Its like a teal and orange with a red ibis tail and palmered hackle and it originates from New Zealand I think. Its a good fly for wild browns. try it on the tail once it gets a bit warmer.
