Default keeping feet warm

I have always found it hard to keep my feet warm in cold weather, may be as my work boots have steel toe caps and wellies are just cold.

But now! I have started wearing crane snow socks £1.99 from lidl or aldi cant remember which my feet are warm as toast.

Finish, quality and style are IMO all AA++ and well worth a try.

i have been looking for something similar this morning.
Found something similar on a site called Heat Factory, there like a sole to go inside your waders, good for the money.

I've found that a stout pair of walking-boots and a thick pair of socks do the trick.

Default warm toes keep you happy

air activated heated insoles - ebay - about £1.50 a pair, 'warm ones' and the like, they give you instant ooooh and last a few hours, best ones are the small lumpy toe packets, very instant and very hot.

for sub zero temperatures the toe bit of the boot is the secret, i have heard that silver duck tape over the toe stops the toe part getting cold, reflects it or something, never tried it though, you also get battery powered insoles in motorcycle websites.

surprising how warm toes can make you happy.

Keep the circulation going by making sure there is plenty room in your footwear.
If I have to wear wellies, they are always a size too big, and I fill up the slack with a second pair of thermal stocking. Now a confession. before mrtrout and co tell you that I wear ladies' tights. I put the last 18'' of foot and leg from a pair of my missus's ( try saying that without your dentures ) over my stockings and they help with sliding in and out of the wellies, waders etc. TC

I went last Saturday on a bitterly cold day. I had a packet of those air activated hand warmers. I had two pairs of socks on and put one hand warmer inbetween my socks. Fished from 8am and left the fishery at 5pm, feet warm as toast and the hand warmers still hot.

Always wear a pair of cheap non-absorbant trackies under your waders and drink a few pints of tea before going fishing. Little and often is the trick. Tip do not ask wife/girlfriend to wash your fishing gear.

Cut up yer wifes thick tights or nick her stockings, not the fish net though put them on first and then yer socks, also spraying yer feet with deep heat / ralgex helps

id say neoprene socks are a must have but nothing will keep your feet perfectly warm except battery socks/insoles or this disposable foot warmers.
